1. Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to ScreenMeasure.
It's a locally-running screen measurement tool with features including:
- On-screen ruler measurement
- Freehand area estimation
- Local calibration and preference storage
2. Do We Collect Personal Data?
No.
The app does not upload, sync, sell, or transmit any personal data to developer servers.
No account registration, cloud sync, ad tracking, or third-party analytics SDKs.
3. Information Processed Locally
To provide measurement features, the app reads locally:
- Device type and platform info (iPhone, iPad, Mac, etc.)
- Screen parameters (resolution, scale, physical size, etc.)
- Your preferences (units, theme, calibration results, etc.)
This information is stored only on your device and is never uploaded.
4. What We Don't Collect
The app doesn't collect: name, email, phone, location, contacts, photos/videos, audio, health data, payment info, browsing history, or advertising identifiers.
5. Permissions
Current version doesn't request camera, microphone, contacts, photo library, or location permissions.
6. Third-Party Services
No third-party advertising, analytics, or profiling SDKs are integrated.
If you contact the developer via GitHub Issues or email, those platforms' data practices apply.
7. Data Retention and Deletion
ScreenMeasure does not keep personal data on developer servers. Preferences and calibration results remain on your device until you delete the app or clear its local data.
Because the current version does not rely on account-based storage, analytics tracking, or server-side personal data collection, there is no developer-held account data to request access to or delete.
The current version also does not use consent-based tracking permissions, so there is no separate in-app tracking consent to withdraw.
8. Data Security
All app data is stored locally by default. If you share information through GitHub or email, that information is governed by those services and their own retention controls.
9. Children's Privacy
The app isn't designed for children and doesn't intentionally collect children's information.
10. Policy Changes
If features or data practices change, we'll update this policy here.
